The Green Land Estate has become an institution in the speciality coffee industry of Myanmar. Run by Mr. Sai Wan Maing since 1998, Green Land is one of the biggest Arabica producing farms of the country. The estate is located between Pyin Oo Lwin and Mogok, near the border of Mandalay Division and Northern Shan State.
Only full red cherries are selectively picked, no more than 20 hours before processing. After, the floaters are removed before further hand sorting. The drying is done on raised beds for 14 to 20 days until reaching 12 % moisture content. When ready, it gets transported to the Mandalay Coffee Group for milling, further sorting, and export.
