Finca Bethania, located in Nueva Segovia, is a well established name among coffee producers in the region. Located in the middle of the forest, this picturesque farm produces solid coffees year in year out.
Finca Bethania was founded in 1991 in the heart of one of the best know coffee regions of Nicaragua. Its management philosophy is deeply rooted in four generations of coffee growers. Nowadays it are Martha and Ana Maria Albir (or Doña Martha and Doña Ana) and their team who run the farm. Farming in balance with the soil, and the fauna and flora in and around Finca Bethania is a key focal point. Adding the hospitality of Martha and Ana, this place is a true gem and an absolute pleasure to visit.
This lot was harvested by selective manual picking before being pulped at the wet mill located at the farm. The coffee fermented for 36 hours in tanks before being washed in traditional washing canals. After, the coffee was dried on raised beds for 17 days at the ‘Cafetos de Segovia’ dry mill.
All this hard work results in a stone fruit, hazelnut & milk chocolate cup with a fresh green apple acidity.
