Chemex meets aerator: the ChemAer™

What started as an idea, inspired by the Specialty Coffee community, became reality. Chemex developed the ChemAer™, a coffee carafe with an integrated aerator. By swirling the brewed coffee against the paddles built into the sides, oxygen is introduced into the coffee, allowing the flavors to continue unfolding even after extraction. This is where the experimentation begins: try different roast levels and swirl left or right – a unique tool for anyone who wants to experience their coffee more intensely.

Developed together for more aroma

The ChemAer™ was developed in collaboration with Trendglas and Hungarian Barista Champion Attila Molnár. The goal was to create a product that enhances the coffee brewing experience while putting the focus on experimenting with flavors in a stylish and effortless way. In line with this, Chemex has also introduced an entirely new type of paper filter. The paper is 20–30 % thicker than conventional filters and has an especially fine-pored structure. This allows significantly more oils and micro-particles to be retained during brewing, resulting in a particularly clean, aromatic filter coffee that highlights the natural sweetness and opens up space for new flavor experiences.
